The Pottinger Hong Kong ★★★★★

Perfect location located in shopping district in Central Hong Kong. Enjoyed various of great restaurants, night life and shopping malls. Easy access to MTR. Room was perfectly clean with Elemis amenities. Thank to Mr. Sing and his team for outstanding services. Mr. Sing was very helpful for my whole stay. Can’t wait to be back next time.

The location can't be beat! Smack in the middle of everything. Easy access to airport express and Central MTR. The hotel is beautifully designed and was comfortable and clean. Some of the furniture seemed worn and old but the decor was absolutely charming. Two bottles of water were complimentary each day. It was a nice calm and quiet place to relax while still being steps away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It was quite expensive, but if you have the cash, this hotel is a must stay.

The location is amazing which is only a couple of minutes walk from ifc and hk airport express. Location to MTR is also very convenient with loads of local cafes around the hotel. Thank you so much to the concierge staff who was so kind to walk me closer to ifc with my luggages. This is an incredible hotel which I always feel incredibly safe and comfortable in.

Unfortunately no room service after 9pm, hopefully this returns soon!

The rooms are well appointed with high quality fixtures and fittings making for a very comfortable stay. They don't provide breakfast which is a little odd but no problem as there are plenty of breakfast options along Stanley Street so no issue.

One quirk in the room was the set up of the light switches. One would expect that there would be a light switch at each bedside for the common lighting. Instead there were two switches on one side of the bed for one set of lights, and two switches on the other side of the bed for a different set of common lights. - very odd.

Quaint boutique hotel conveniently located near lots of cafe, bars, restaurants, supermarket, shopping malls, banks and tourist spots like ex prison turned cultural centre, ex police married quarter turned shopping mall, antique street, temple -- all in walking distance yet the hotel remains very quiet inside . Very colourful area. Excellent and helpful staff. A pleasure to stay.

Staff was very nice and helpful. Location was very close to what I needed.

The noise of construction in Central during the day and the noise of party goers / pounding bass before midnight. After midnight it was quiet. Not a lot of sun into the room -- I was working from the room during the day. Would have been nice to have some sun/view. I understand that can't be helped with the location of the building and the room I booked. Bathtub - Should have listed that it was a shower and no bathtub in the room I selected. Was looking forward to soaking in a bath. No problem if I knew from the start. I packed stuff for a bathtub which I never got to use. The bathroom was actually very nice and very very spacious.

The location of the hotel is perfectly in the midst of Central, while very a quiet for relaxation and work. Service is high quality, warm and friendly. I appreciated the Nespresso machine.

Exceeds expectations, clean, Comfortable and cheap for central HK!

We recently had a very good staycation at The Pottinger in Central. This is a boutique hotel located just next to the historic slab street (Pottinger Street) in between Stanley St. and Queen's Road Central. It is a nice place, categorically situated between our mid-range and luxury end hotels around the city. We were well-received upon arrival, check-in was seamless and quick and we were in our room in just 5-6 minutes. There is luggage storage available if required. Hotel staff were very friendly throughout our stay. The Pottinger has several restaurants and bar situated on the first 3 floors. Otherwise, you are in the heart of the city with hundreds of places to eat, coffee shops and bars situated in all directions from this central location. The Central MTR Station Exits C and D, are around 3-4 minutes walk away. Our room was very nice, plenty of space for luggage and to move around. Expected features including flat-screen TV, stocked fridge, kettle, Espresso machine, working A/C, strong wifi, good lighting, in-room safe, iron and ironing board. There was a small round table with two seats and a sofa seat in front of the bed. Mattress was medium firmness and pillows just fine. We rested very well during our stay. Bathroom was similarly very spacious, equipped with modern fixtures, bath robes and toiletries. Shower and two heads, traditional and rain shower. Both worked well. In the end, we enjoyed our stay at The Pottinger. This is a neat boutique with comfortable rooms that is offering very attractive room rates for Hongkongers during the pandemic. Something worth considering if you looking around and considering a staycation experience here in the city this summer.

View from lower floor room was just the building across the street, nothing to be excited about. However, higher floor room views may be much better. No gym nor swimming pool
